Create. Connect. Empower.
On Monday, Facebook launched a "Send" button and updates to its Group feature in a push to make group sharing more user-friendly and interactive. The Send button replaces the “Email to a friend” button, allowing you to send a page to a friend or group or friends or even an email address (FINALLY!).
A Mashable report on the update cites that one increasingly popular trend is for users to post a commerce site to a group of friends to decide on a purchase, for example. Some analysts think this could become the next “Like” button, which was implemented just a year ago (or hasn't it always been there?). In simple terms, the Send button is the private-sharing version of the public-sharing Like button. Could this be a (successful?) attempt to resurrect the idea behind Google Wave?
